Size is Octavo, measuring 24,5 by 15 cm overall. This is Vol. 4 (of 5) from the Natural History of British Fishes by Edward Donovan, published in 1806, complete with 24 hand-coloured plates, some of wich are highlighted with silver and gum arabic, producing an extremely attractive aesthetic effect. Bound with the original boards, the paper spine has been restored by Bottega Fagnola in Torino, an excellent restorer who has reproduced the paper spine accurately to match the boards.

Quality:  A very sound copy, contents very good, wide margins and very clean. All plates faultless and without any trace of foxing.
